Coenzyme Q 10 is a substance which occurs naturally in the body but from the age of about 30 production slows down. The enzyme plays an important role in the conversion of energy in the food we eat (e.g. fats) into body energy. It is also used by the body as an antioxidant - it helps the body to dispose of waste products keeping the cells and therefore also the body healthy, young and efficient for as long as possible.
Some literature also attributes antioxidising properties to vitamin E.
The combination of the two substances may be beneficial to the natural protection of the joints and cells thus slowing down cell aging and promoting health and performance.
